# Parameters & System Configurations

The **Parameters** tab lets you extend the system **without development** by adding custom attributes to almost any object. Use it to capture data that is not available out‑of‑the‑box or that needs to be tailored to your needs.

**What you can do**

* Define parameters for **employees, contracts, projects, invoices, assets** and more, as well as **global/system configuration** parameters.
* Store business facts such as *“Works remotely”*, *“Default office” and others*
* Choose simple value types (e.g., **text, number, boolean**)
* Add, edit, or retire parameters at any time; scope them to a **specific object type** or make them **global**.

**Business value** Parameters give you a quick, no‑code way to tailor the data model to your processes and vocabulary, so the system reflects how your company actually works.

***

**System Configuration** tab focuses on parameters that shape how the platform behaves in your environment. Think of it as the place to set **domains, integrations, branding, and core switches**.

**Typical settings**

* **Domains & URLs**: application domain, public portals/links used in notifications
* **Email & notifications**: sender name and email address
* **Branding**: company **logo**, footer texts.
* **Accounting**: currencies, settlements and time tracking params
